HCL Technologies and Cricket Australia have joined forces to launch the Global Tech Jam, which will see solutions and prototypes for the game’s transformation implemented.

HCL technologies tie up with Cricket Australia

In partnership with Cricket Australia in cooperation with Microsoft, HCL Technologies (HCL), a leading global technology company, will host the HCL CA Tech Jam 2021. As the official Cricket Australia (CA) digital technology partner, HCL has developed a digital platform to explore data-driven, crowd-based, global solutions that will inspire and engage the cricket- lovers, players, and partners’ ecosystems. HCL and Microsoft will work with CA to support

Azure as a platform sandbox participant while using technology to unite and foster cricket passion. HCL signed a multi-year partnership with CA in 2019 and was selected as its Official Digital Technology Partner for scaling its digital transformation.

The HCL – CA Tech Jam is open to all sports enthusiasts, data scientists, analysts, developers, statisticians, tech enthusiasts, tech freelancers, university students, coders, and technology innovators from the global developer community. HCL’s Scale Digital methodology will help CA and its partners in building a digital core through a composable platform leveraging Microsoft Azure that will be modular, auto-scalable, data-driven, and experience-centric, integrating multiple industry-standard products and services to enhance the experience for
fans and participants.

The HCL – CA Tech Jam 2021 addresses the following areas during the provision of key data sets, data extracts, and insights:

Game performance – develop technology solutions that make a significant impact on cricket games and allow Cricket Australia to improve the performance of the Australian National Team.
Fan Engagement – To ensure that fans are connected and involved in the game continuously across many touchpoints, develop comprehensive, accessible, and sizeable fan experiencing solutions.
Community engagement – Delivering prototypes using technology for supporting the community and transforming cricket into a professional multi-touch sport for all Australians, with more than 700 000 registered participants.
The HCL – CA Tech Jam 2021 will be entering its final stage in a series of live TV presentations to a panel of experts and industry leaders from the partner ecosystem, in August 2021, with 32 top teams select. In this competition, awards are awarded.
