A Budawang Elder from the Yuin Nation.
He is a local Canberra and Southern New South Wales resident and has an extensive list of business achievements over the last 30 years.Â
Some of John’s work includes major multi-million dollar projects including over 630 Townhouse and Unit developments in Canberra, and developing four of Canberra’s suburbs.Â
As a qualified helicopter pilot, John has a strong interest in aviation. In 2004 was part of a consortium leading to the creation of Regional Express Airlines, from the ashes of Ansett, Hazleton, and Kendall.
He currently owns “Learn 2 Fly”, a flight school and flight charter operation, with locations, facilities, and aircraft in both Canberra and Bathurst. John has several ongoing philanthropic projects, including training indigenous women and men to fly, as well as teaching & donating ukuleles to indigenous kids in the Far West of NSW.
