Great Learning, a major global ed-tech business for professional and higher education, has announced the introduction of two international undergraduate programs from Deakin University, Australia’s largest university, in partnership with Great Lakes Institute of Management. At a premiere event on June 28, 2021, at 11:30 a.m., education agents and career counselors can learn more about both of these programs. The Chief Guest will be Mr. Brett Galt-Smith (Education and Research), Australian High Commission India. He will be speaking to the audience, together with other notable speakers from Deakin University and the Great Lakes Institute of Management.
These three-year full-time programs allow students to receive a world-class education, participate in hands-on practical projects, and receive dedicated placement assistance.
Students will obtain a post-study work permit to work in Australia after completing the program, which will allow them to gain international job experience. The first year of the program will be held in Great Lakes Institute of Management’s Gurgaon and Chennai campuses in India as part of this agreement. Students who complete the first year satisfactorily will be admitted to one of the degrees and will continue years two and three on-shore in Australia.
The demanding programs are meant to give students worldwide experience while also teaching them management and data analytics skills that are in high demand. The classes will also assist them in developing key communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, which are essential for launching a career in foreign markets.
Deakin Institution, founded in 1974, is an Australian public university that has consistently appeared in the World University Rankings, ‘Top 50 Under 50,’ and was rated 29th in 2020.
The Academic Ranking of World Universities 2020 places it among the top 1% of universities worldwide.
Great Lakes Institute of Management was founded in 2004 and is one of only 14 institutes in India to earn AMBA (Association of MBAs) certification. The institute has been placed 3rd in Outlook’s Top Standalone Institutions, 9th in Business India’s Top Indian B-Schools, 23rd in the Ministry of HRD’s NIRF Ranking, and is a member of Business Standard’s Super League.

Deakin University’s introduction of these two new undergraduate programs will benefit all students who want to obtain international experience and be a part of a prestigious global university. Students will have the opportunity of commencing their degrees in India for a year and then traveling over to Australia to finish their learning adventure and seek interesting employment prospects in the thick of the pandemic. Great Lakes Institute of Management has established itself as a premier institution of excellence in the highly sought-after field of business analytics during the last ten years.
The track record of success, along with Great Learning’s technology and industry skills, will provide a strong foundation for first-year students. We are certain that students who enroll in these programs will greatly benefit from the high level of education provided and will go on to have successful careers in Australia and elsewhere.
Professor Gary Smith, Deakin University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Global Engagement, said that Deakin University is always looking for new ways to help students stay on track with their studies and careers, especially in these trying times. “This collaboration with Great Lakes Institute and Great Learning are significant because it will result in a high-value outcome in terms of quality students coming to Deakin as well as the development of a pool of high-end talent who will be able to find their place in the global workplace in the future.”
